My Favorite YouTube Vlog Clips Of The Week!

Happy Monday Fabbies! I wanted to start sharing my favorite clips from my YouTube vlog episodes. Beginning in 2016, I started a YouTube page, “The Fab and Ravenous Life“. I turned on my (real) camera and vlogged my life at home in Scottsdale, Arizona. My vlogs was sort of follow-me-around-for-the-week while I did my day-to-day stuff: Cooking, raising Zé and Vito, running errands, going to the gym, etc. I did this for about half the year in 2016, and then after hosting Lit in the Desert and hiring a cameraman to film and edit our weekend (shoutout to Flashy), I decided that I so much preferred someone else filming rather than myself, because that gave me free hands to move around and do shit. Hahahaha. But in all seriousness, since starting that YouTube, I put out a few episodes with hired camera crew and editor. My last YouTube video was 2 years ago, and I am beyond due for a new episode! What do ya’ll think?!

Happy Wednesday Fabbies! Whooooo the world is in a bit of a situation here huh? The Covid-19 virus, better known as the Coronavirus, has called mass hysteria and confusion around the world, with thousands of cases of people getting seriously ill and some even dying from the virus. This has many of us shook and feeling like we got the rug pulled from under us, as businesses and restaurants are closing down, mandatory curfews are put into effect, and the economy is crashing. My thoughts and prayers are with anyone who has been directly affected by the virus, and I pray that we all get through this challenging time quickly and in good health.

Vegan Rotel Dip Recipe 2.0 (Virtually Homemade This Time!)

Happy Friday Fabbies! Today’s recipe is SO long overdue ya’ll. If you’ve been following me or this blog for a while, then you know that I posted my original vegan rotel dip recipe almost 3 years ago. You can find the original recipe here. I would make rotel dip often, for our kids’ weekly movie nights or for whenever we wanted some. I’ve made vegan rotel dip for many of my friends and family as well. I also made some vegan rotel dip for a group of fabulous non-vegan folks back in December 2017 when I went to Art Basel to be a part of my friend Billy Joe’s epic art exhibition, and they loved it! I Moved To Mexico!

Well hello there Fabbies! Whew! It’s been 3 months since I’ve last spoken to you guys. And I promise it is for good reason. I was simply hibernating for the winter and waiting for Spring to come so I could blog again. Hahaha just kidding. The reality is, since the start of 2019, (well, really at the end 2018 too), my family and I have been preparing for our huge move…to MEXICO! If you follow me on Instagram and have seen some of my IG Stories, then you may already know that Supreme, the kids and I all moved to Mexico at the beginning of March. San Miguel de Allende to be exact. And let me tell you: It has been nothing short of an amazing, busy, whirlwind journey across the border. But we are here. In our new home. In a whole new country to continue this wild journey of our free-spirited lives. New Orleans-Style Vegan Gumbo Recipe!

Happy Wednesday Fabbies! Ya girl has been busy! Whew! Like for real. I am actually working on a few blog posts at a time (and also planning a Non-Profit event in Memphis, but more on that later), including the one I do at the end of each year, which is my “Favorite Looks Of The Year” post. As I was working on that post, which basically shows all of my favorite outfits and hairstyles of the whole year, I was looking at my pictures from my trip down to New Orleans for Brittanii’s Bachelorette weekend, and started thinking about the food there! THEN I was watching one of my favorite YouTube Vloggers, Earth Mama Medicine, and she made some soup that looked bomb! So couple seeing the soup with seeing the New Orleans pictures,  I got the bright idea to try and make my own vegan version of some gumbo!! So I did. Homemade “Honey” Mustard Recipe (But Not made with Honey ;)

Happy Tuesday Fabbies! So as promised, I told you guys that I would share some recipes with you this month. And I figured a sauce a week should be good right?! But I will say this, when it comes to eating a healthier diet, and making things yourself, it would definitely behoove you to invest in a blender AND/or food processor. And I use the word “invest” lightly. These days you can get blenders and food processors for under $30. Having these things will make your time in the kitchen so much quicker and easier. And the recipes you can make using a blender alone are endless. I literally use my blender every day to make smoothies, sauces, dips, or whatever. Throw the food in there and blend! So if you don’t already, treat yourself to a blender and food processor, and let those things do all the work for you. You deserve it!
