Happy Sunday! The Girls Weekend that I am hosting is officially 5 days away!! At first it seemed as if it was months away, and now it’s almost here! I am BEYOND ready to see my girlfriends and sisters! (Plus my mom and nephew). As I mentioned last week, I’ll be posting fashion threads related to events that we will be attending next weekend. One of the places that we will be going to is a Vegas-style pool party here in town. The scene is basically a club atmosphere, (DJ’s and great music), with a huge pool and outdoor bars. Because of this, I see it as an excuse to wear heels with your swimsuit! Below I’ve put together some looks that would be so cute to wear to an awesome turned up pool party.
Anything that drapes off the shoulder I am so here for! I love this swimsuit, and paired it with some black caged heels and cut off shorts to wear over the swimsuit. Sunglasses are always required whenever you leave the house. It’s summertime! Protect your eyes in the most fashionable way possible!
I’m also a sucker for an all nude look, and this bandage swimsuit is the business. I paired it with a white sheer embellished sarong, some nude heels and gold jewelry.
Just give me all of this. Especially the comfy shoes. Wedges are always a good idea because they’re generally so comfy. And how fab are the ones above?!
The look above is part retro, part nautical and just super fab! The swimsuit itself is channeling the 1950’s, and the shoes and accessories just jazz up the look. After you leave the pool party, then go find a yacht to board!
This looks just screams luxury. I decided to ditch the heels for this look, just because the coverup does enough all by itself. (It comes with a hefty price tag though! It’s by Zana Bayne, and it’s a Diamante Belted Kimono Dress for $1,750.) I added a white choker to go with the white bikini (I’m obsessed with chokers, I paired a choker in the all nude look as well above), and all gold everything else, including gold chandelier earrings.
For this last look, I added a black oversized floppy hat and long sheer coverup, with rose gold accessories. The swimsuit is from www.riverisland.com. Gimme gimme!
As you can see, I’ve included coverups with many of the outfits, just in case you don’t want to walk around with just a swimsuit on. Also, although you may arrive to the pool party wearing heels, I would totally recommend bringing comfy flats like flip flops or other cute sandals, (just throw them in your purse or bag), as seen below:
If you’re going to a more casual pool party, you of course could tone down your outfit a bit, but because this pool party will be lit and is Vegas-style, then a dressier outfit makes sense since it will feel like a nightclub as well. That is the other reason that I didn’t tone down the accessories! More is more! Even at the pool! 🙂
Have a great rest of the week Fabbies! The countdown is officially on for #Litinthedesert! FIVE. MORE. DAYS!
Stay tuned for the next Girls Weekend-Related Post, which will be what to wear to an Adult Girls Slumber Party!
xoxo
I am loving all the shoes, shades and bags. Now the swimsuits are fab but my big hips need to stick to sun dresses. LOL
