Day 2 of My Fitness Challenge Was Cool. Except, Sushi

So after having done 2 workouts on Tuesday, I was a bit sore yesterday. Not that soreness where you can barely walk, but just like, “ooooh, my legs feel a wee bit heavier today.” So for breakfast I had one of my usuals, which is a sunny side up egg sandwich on whole wheat bread with colby jack cheese. I know I know, cheese isn’t the healthiest thing ever, but I’ll try to cut back on my cheese intake for this challenge. One day at a time people!

Somewhere between breakfast and (late) lunch, I went for a run around my neighborhood. It was drizzling rain yesterday, so I actually ran at a faster pace than usual so I wouldn’t be caught in a downpour. Luckily it never rained harder than a sprinkle, so I was good! I ran a little over 3 miles again, and did the same ab routine as yesterday afterwards. Today I will be doing leg exercises post run.

The usual post-run mirror selfie lol

Ze had dance class later on that evening, and after class we picked up dinner to go from Benihana. I chose to get my usual, which was sushi. This time I chose the Las Vegas Roll (hey, I’m headed there in a few weeks!), which consists of salmon, avocado, cream cheese, jalopeno, and spicy sauce on top. But here’s the kicker: it’s DEEP FRIED. (sigh). That takes all of the healthy benefits of sushi away! It was so freaking delicious though. I also ordered the Shrimp Lover’s Roll, which has crab, avocado, shrimp tempura, and cucumber. This was by far a much healthier roll of sushi, so I didn’t completely eat terribly.

Going forward I will be more conscious of the foods that I eat, as deep fried sushi probably wasn’t the best choice huh? But it’s only Day 2! Don’t shoot me! Plus I’ll have 2 workouts today, so it’ll at least balance that out.

And just for fun, here’s my little dancer after class yesterday:

Yall have a FIT, FAB, and RAVENOUS day!
