Running Makes Me Happy!

I’m a huge fan of running. Running to the fridge, running to keep Vito or Zé from trying to climb on something they’re not supposed to, running frantically around trying to find the wine bottle opener that I may have misplaced, and I also enjoy running to stay in shape. Along with staying in shape, running is also very therapeutic for me. I enjoy taking in the sights, smells, and sounds of the great outdoors. And if the sun is shining bright?! Pshhhh! I’ve got it made then! Why? Because that way, I’m getting my fitness on, getting some therapy going, AND getting a tan?! Raven for the win! If you’re not a fan of running like myself…

Then I’d suggest you walk. The thing is, walking OR running is free!! Who doesn’t love free anything?! Just getting outdoors and getting your blood flowing does tons for your overall health. I’m no expert of course, but I do try and stay in shape. I typically alternate between 2 pairs of running shoes as well. Chris, my fiancé, typically watches the kids while I go out for my runs, which I do about 4 times a week.
The weather was pretty close to perfect for a run today, so made my way outside and hit the pavement:

And here’s one of my views:

A good summation of running and exercise comes from one my favorite movies when I was in college, “Legally Blonde”. (Look, my taste in movies is very diverse, but seriously, Legally Blonde was surprisingly, hilariously good.):

“Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands, they just don’t.”

  1. Yes, running and/or walking is very therapeutic. Helps with natural vitamin D and helps burn off some of the extra calories from the Doritos that I ate earlier in the day 🙂 …and yes Legally Blonde is a good movie 🙂
